About Derbhile Dromey

I’m a writer living by the sea in Waterford, Ireland. I dance like no one’s watching, sing like no-one’s listening and I put on silly voices. I set up this blog to share whatever nuggets of wisdom I’ve gathered about writing, and to share the trials and tribulations of the writing life, the highs and the lows.

From time to time, you’ll see guest blogs and interviews with other writers. I believe it’s important for us writers to support other writers in any way we can.

If you’d like to contribute a guest blog, have me review a book, or promote your latest one, you can contact me in the following ways:

  1. Hello Derbhile,
    Congratulations for your blog.
Your writing style is very “light” and easy to follow.
I am not an English native and I’ve found your tips very useful.
I started blogging this year and I am always worried with the errors my writing may present. I am quite obcessed about writing properly and always looking to improve it.
Nonetheless, I keep writing, and if for nothing less, at least to practice.

    All the best,

  2. Great work and inspiring for a guy who needs a good kick up the ass. Really helpful for me as I am about to go to university to study English and journalism.

  3. Derbhile,

Hello, this is Danny O. Snow with Self-Publishers Monthly. I thought that your readers might like to know that the August issue of SPM is free on Amazon until Monday, 9/2. It’s currently ranked #3 under authorship.

Thanks for all you do for writers, and best wishes.

    Cordially,
    Dan

P.S. SPM can be read not only on the Kindle itself, but also on Kindle-for-iPad, Mac, PC and a variety of smartphones and tablet computers. The reader does NOT need to own a Kindle device to enjoy it.
